Senior Sales Representative

Responsibilities & Duties:
o Manage the existing business and strengthen/deepen customer relationships.
o Be strategic and focused in identifying and analyzing market dynamics to uncover opportunities and secure new business from existing as well as potential clients.
o Proactively set and achieve sales and profit goals by adapting to changing customer needs and an awareness and ability to recognize/create opportunities.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with retail accounts, providing exceptional customer service and relationship management.
o Optimize communication between sales and other departments.
o Drive business development and cultivate strong relationships with new and existing customers.
o Monitor market competition and changes, including pricing and products.
o Design customer-focused programs which benefit both parties.
o Lead new product and program initiatives.
o Create sales presentations, marketing materials, and category plans.
o Uphold the highest levels of integrity and promote a positive company image internally and externally at all times.
o Travel as necessary for customer meetings, trade shows, events, etc.
o Support the growth, strategy, and direction of the overall sales team.
o Evaluate all opportunities from multiple perspectives, including new products, revenue, strategy, growth, and margin.
o Identify and report market and customer trends and opportunities.

o Minimum 7 years of documentable success as Sales Professional in the produce or value added industries.
o Strong attention to details, follow-up and organization.
o Excellent computer skills, social media savvy; proficient with Microsoft Suite, etc.
o Must possess an understanding of market conditions, trends, and market pricing.
o Highly motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
o Demonstrates excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
o Proven track record of established sales, cold calls, and/or account management success.
o Diverse Produce Industry/Value Added experience.
o Ability to plan, execute and accomplish agreed upon sales and market development objectives.
Working ConditionsThis position is located in an office environment with moderate to low noise levels and is typically sedentary.
Daily use of a computer and phone system is necessary as well as interaction with staff, candidates and vendors.
