DutiesAs an Equal Employment Manager, you will:
- Develop NARA's plans, procedures, policies, and instructions on the processing of complaints of discrimination.
Procedures and instructions must be consistent with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) regulations and Management Directives.
- Contribute to the development of NARA's MD-715, DEIA efforts and affirmative action plan and updates and monitors achievement of specific objectives.
- Develop and/or arrange for the proper training of and provides leadership and administrative supervision to NARA's EEO counselors and other EEO staff personnel involved in the processing of informal and formal complaints of discrimination.
- Supervise/oversee the counseling of employees and applicants who believe they have been discriminated against; supervises/oversees the timely, fair, and impartial consideration and disposition of complaints; schedule the prompt investigation of complaints; ensure timeliness and compliance when processing; and maintain all documents and files that apply to informal and formal complaints.
- Develop investigative summaries; write and review all necessary documents such as final agency decisions, reports of investigations, letters and templates when required.
Requirements Conditions of EmploymentThe experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.
One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

Experience:
For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience for this position includes:
-Reviewing Reports of Investigation and preparing legally sufficient final decisions based on federal regulations, laws, and policies:
AND-Preparing reports and briefing supervisors, management and staff on a variety of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) issues.
