ARCHIVES SPECIALIST

As an ARCHIVES SPECIALIST, you will:
Lead major initiatives supporting the unique requirements related to the accession, processing, preservation, and accessibility of the electronic records in the custody of Research Services. Serve as a technical expert and administrator for support systems unique to the Electronic Records Division, specifically the Comprehensive Accounting of Scheduled Permanent Electronic Records (CASPER) and Accessions Management Information System (AMIS). Organize, develop, and implement multiple projects related to the establishment of physical and intellectual control over permanently valuable electronic records transferred to the legal custody of the Archivist of the United States and the physical custody of Research Services. Participate in planning the work of the unit; formulate goals and objectives; and identify opportunities in methods, workflow, and procedures. Experience:
To be qualified for this position at the GS-13 you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Utilizing a wide range of software, systems and databases (i.e. SQL-based systems, relational databases, Electronic Records Archives) to search beyond readily accessible material to locate, analyze, index, and manage electronic records; AND Analyzing and researching electronic record techniques to deliver assistance to individuals, agencies and other organizations; AND Leading projects describing or preserving a body of records. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
