As a IT SPECIALIST, you will:
-Design and develop test management plans and test procedures for acceptance testing and regression/smoke testing activities. -Responsible for development and execution of acceptance tests and for identifying any formal testing standards and ensuring adherence. -Ensure that the Test team members (usually contract personnel) are skilled, well trained, and utilize the tools and methodologies that are prescribed for effective testing activities leading to product improvements; this extends to and includes software; systems; and processes. -Participate in reviews of testing procedures and practices to insure that documented procedures and policies are followed or are modified, as needed; collects system performance data and supports execution of program best practices, continuous process improvement and implementation of quality principles. You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
-Experience developing a Quality Assurance (QA) framework plan and test artifacts to perform the different stages of software testing; AND -Experience in primarily a testing role for Traditional (Waterfall) methodology.; AND -Experience with hands-on Agile software testing to validate and monitor software. AND In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. 1. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
