ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. -Serve as the principal advisor to program managers and staff on administrative functions -Inform supervisors and staff of new or revised administrative policies, regulations, and procedures that affect the administrative functions of the organization and independently develops procedures to facilitate implementation or integration of these changes. -Maintain internal controls procedures over financial management activities that ensure the integrity of budget and accounting activity for the program -Assist in the administration of the National Archives' ethics program, including, but not limited to:
the financial disclosure process; the approval process for outside employment, business and professional activities; the regulation of political activities of Federal employees; and nonfederal source travel determinations You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience for the GS-07, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Performing in an administrative support role managing projects, researching and analyzing to identify problems or issues. Examples of such experience could include:
- Maintaining files and compiling documentation; OR - Using computer software for clerical office tasks; OR - Tracking tasks and projects to ensure deadlines are met; OR - Preparing, reviewing and editing correspondence; OR - Responding to customer requests. OR 1 full year of graduate level education OR Superior academic achievement You may qualify by a combination of experience and education In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-07, you must have been at the GS-05level for 52 weeks.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
