SUPERVISORY ARCHIVIST

As a SUPERVISORY ARCHIVIST, you will:
- Implement the program for maintaining physical and intellectual control over accessioned records in the purview of the Branch. Physical control consists of ensuring the appropriate storage, arrangement, and security of the records and the space housing them. Intellectual control includes analyzing the records to understand the origins, filing systems, content, technical and legal problems, and preparing descriptive material to reflect this analysis. - Ensure the active participation of Branch staff in all phases of the lifecycle of the records, including coordinating with Federal Records Programs, the Branch's appropriate role in records appraisals, records management evaluations, and records management training. - Establish, in coordination with the Director of appropriate archival records Divisions, accessioning priorities for the record groups for which the Branch is responsible. Initiates and conducts reappraisal activities affecting previously accessioned records. - Determines the need for, plans, and evaluates materials that describe the Branch's records. Ensures that Branch staff perform the project work that is needed to enhance access. Considers long range plans and outcomes. - Establishes and monitors Branch priorities and cooperates with various units throughout the Program to ensure the most efficient use of resources in delivering the highest possible customer service. The Branch Chief has ultimate accountability for staff in planning and directing all projects and reference activities for the records in the Branch's custody. Projects reflect a wide program area. Experience:
For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Supervising or leading a team or project performing one or more archival functions; AND - Utilizing archival principles relating to holding security, reference, processing, reformatting and accessioning concepts or laws to provide advice and guidance; AND - Proposing and implementing solutions/strategies for program improvement to assure the continuing effectiveness of activities in support of the agency's mission. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
