SUPERVISORY CONSERVATOR

As a Supervisory Conservator, you will:
- -Plan, manage and direct the work of RXC lab staff in coordination with the other Supervisory Conservator including evaluate staff performance, promote team building and staff morale, establish laboratory policies as appropriate and lead laboratory health & safety priorities and training;-Oversee laboratory purchasing and efficient use of available resources as well as ensuring conservation laboratory equipment is fully functional, maintained and serviced;-Oversee the examination, treatment and care of the rarest and most complex documents in the National Archives holdings;-Serve as a NARA technical expert in multiple areas:
conservation and preservation methodology and treatment of archival materials, preventive -conservation, conservation and preservation training, records emergency response and preparedness, and preservation requirements for exhibition and digitization of archival materials. You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized
Experience:
For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
-planning and executing preservation and conservation treatment projects; AND -clearly communicating with stakeholders on preservation issues including developing guidance and presenting training on preventive conservation and preservation Book conservation experience is beneficial In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
